Offers Nebraska residents access to databases for the purpose of research. There information for adults and students. For access to these databases, contact the Gering Public Library to obtain a login password.

Whichbook

A library with over 75,000 free eBooks. There are multiple ways to search: by subject, by title, by author, by popularity and more.

Lied Scottsbluff Public Library

The Scottsbluff library is a great resource and a wonderful partner of the Gering Public Library.

Western Nebraska Community College Library

The library at WNCC is a great resource, not only for students, but for any adult in the community.

Panhandle Consortium

The Gering Public Library is part of a consortium of other rural libraries in the Nebraska panhandle. A Gering library card will allow you to check out books from any of the other libraries within the consortium.

Western Nebraska Family Research and History Center

If you want to do some research on the panhandle of Nebraska or a family member who grew up in the area, WNFRHC is a great place to start. They have a rich array of materials for regional and genealogical research.

Nebraska Library Commission

As part of the executive branch of the state government, the Nebraska Library Commission oversees and assists libraries throughout Nebraska.
