    Our Teen Dungeons & Dragons group is open to students in 6th through 12th grade. The group meets after school at 3pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. Tabletop roleplaying games like D&D encourage creativity, problem-solving, and social skills.

    Pre-K

    LEAP is a 6-week program designed for children ages 3-5 & caregivers. Each week will have themed activities focused on early-literacy, STEM, and fine-motor skills. LEAP meets every Thursdays, 6-7pm starting October 2nd-November 6th. Contact the library for more info or to sign up.

  • “Steve Stole My Snacks” Teen Movie Party

    Teens are invited to come to the library for a movie party on Friday, October 10th from Noon-2pm. Gering schools are closed for the day and we want to celebrate with food, fellowship, and a movie. This event is open to any 6th through 12th graders.

    The 2nd Saturday of every month, we will open our community room at 12:00pm for those wanting to work on crafting projects while socializing with other hobbyists. We will also have one prepared project for anyone who wants something to do but isn’t currently in the middle of something.

  • Friends of the Library Annual Meeting

    The Friends of the Gering Library are having their annual meeting on Sunday, October 12th in 1:30pm at the City Council Chambers. Humanities Nebraska Speaker Charlotte Endorf will be there to talk about the WW II North Platte Canteen. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.

    Ashley Fenning is teaching Tai Chi on Wednesdays from 1-2pm starting on September 3 through December 17. *Participants should attend 11 out of 16 weeks to complete the program.* There is a one-time $20 fee, which will go toward Ashley’s training costs. CLASS IS FULL

    Builders Club (previously LEGO Club) is designed for *kids 8+ to build and experiment with LEGO bricks and more. Each month we will have different building challenges and structured STEM activities. *Kids under age 8 are welcome as long as they are accompanied by a parent.
