The Gering Public Library Foundation, is organized as a not for profit organization to develop enduring sources of capital for strategic projects and support through conceptual ideas and partnerships that enhance and advance literacy, lifelong learning and community activity.
Gering Library continues its partnership with Scott Free Brewing for Pints & Plot Twists, a true crime book club. The next meeting is on March , at 6:30pm, at 1032 O Street in Gering. This month’s book is “The Devil in the White City” by Erik Larson.
Friends are enthusiastic supporters, whose mission is to help provide library services of the highest quality to our community. What do the Friends do? Advocate for the library Build membership Promote and assist with library programs Encourage donations Raise funds for the library Contact the Gering Public Library for more information about the Friends.

Our Teen Dungeons & Dragons group is open to students in 6th through 12th grade. The group meets after school at 3pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. Tabletop roleplaying games like D&D encourage creativity, problem-solving, and social skills.

Because of a grant we received, Yelena Khanevskaya will be teaching a class called “Sharing the Greetings.” Participants will learn the history of printmaking and the linocut technique. Builders Club (previously LEGO Club) is designed for *kids 8+ to build and experiment with LEGO bricks and more. Each month we will have different building challenges and structured STEM activities. *Kids under age 8 are welcome as long as they are accompanied by a parent.
