DESCRIPTION:Join Ms. Hayley in the Children’s section on Wednesdays at 10am during Summer Reading for stories\, songs\, and activities\, followed by time to play! Story time can help children build their vocabulary\, speaking and storytelling skills\, letter knowledge\, and love of books. Story time includes… books\, songs & rhymes\, finger plays\, & felt boards. Stick around after the stories for social playtime with hands-on activities and educational toys. Story time is designed for children ages 0-6\, accompanied by an adult. Contact hgrams@geringlibrary.org with any questions. \n\nOur first Summer Reading Story Time is “Garden Dig.”

SUMMARY:Tai Chi for Walking
DESCRIPTION:Nebraska Extension is offering an 7-week virtual program on Tai Chi Walking\, “a mindful approach to walking that emphasizes posture\, balance\, body alignment\, and intentional movement to improve walking mechanics and reduce strain on the body.” \nParticipants will receive additional education on nutrition strategies and sleep habits that promote recovery and overall wellness. \nThis virtual program will occur through a closed Facebook group\, allowing participants to engage with weekly content and instruction at their convenience. Not on Facebook? Not a problem! The Gering Public Library will be viewing the virtual program in the community room every Wednesday\, starting on June 10th from 1-1:30 pm. Registration is required.
