Each month, we offer both regular and on-time programs for adults. Many of these programs take place at the library, but some will meet in a separate location. These events are open to anyone and free of charge. Besides programming, we offer a number of Public Services and Member Services for both adults and children.
NOTE: Scheduling of programs can change from month to month due to holidays and other circumstances. Please check the Events page for all upcoming programs each month.

Adult Learners at the Library
4th Wednesday of the month

Adult Learners at the Library (ALL) is designed especially for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to gather, socialize and enjoy learning experiences.

Food for Thought Book Club
4th Thursday of the month at 1:30pm

Food for Thought book discussion group affords readers an opportunity to come together, talk about books, and express their opinions.
Copies of the books for each month may be reserved by calling the library at (308) 436-7433. Books are obtained through Interlibrary Loan at a cost of $4.50 (to cover shipping).

Mah Jongg Group
Thursdays at 10:00am
and the 2nd Saturday of the month
from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Mah Jongg is a game that began in the 19th century in China and has spread around the world since the 20th century. It is a tile-based game played with four players. There are 144 tiles with Chinese characters and symbols on them.
If you already know how to play and would like new people to play against or if you have never played before and want to learn, we have a Mah Jongg group that meets every Thursday at 10:00am and also on the seconds Saturday of the month from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

Pint & Plot Twists

Do you enjoy reading crime stories? We are teaming up with Scott Free Brewing Company to offer Pints & Plot Twists, a true-crime book club. A book will be selected each month. You will be able to pick up a copy at the library in advance.
We will gather at Scott Free Brewing Company on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm for our book discussion.

Saturday Crafternoon
2nd Saturday of the month from 12:00pm to 3:00pm
All ages are welcome.
Whether you have a project you are working on and just want to some camaraderie while you work or are looking for a new project, whether you are an experienced crafter or have done very little, you are welcome to join us on the 2nd Saturday of each month for our Saturday Crafternoon.
We will have a planned project that you can work on or you can bring your work in progress. The hope is to have a space for you to work on whatever craft you want while having others around to encourage and support you.
